Although we are proud to offer the finest in furs, shearlings and leathers, we are equally proud
of our storage facilities. Yearly cold storage is essential to the longevity of your fur, leather
or shearling. Our refrigerated storage vaults ensure that your garment is unaffected by the
temperature and humidity issues which cannot be avoided at home. Cold storage is also the best
way to avoid damage to your garments from pests, sunlight, dirt and dust.
Our storage facilities include:
- Checking of your garments for any necessary repairs
- On premise, above ground refrigerated storage vaults at both locations
- Regulated temperature of 45 degrees, and regulated humidity of 50%
- Complimentary glazing
- Complimentary minor repairs
- Computerized records which enable us to keep track of your garments and their storage,
cleaning and repair history.
Cleaning
In order to prolong the life of your garment, we recommend that you have your furs and
shearlings cleaned and processed every other year. Professional cleaning removes dust and soil,
keeps the pelts soft and supple and restores luster, helping to ensure that you will be able to
enjoy your garment for many years to come. Fur cleaning and processing must not be confused
with the dry cleaning process that many of your fabric garments undergo, and because of the
nature of the lifespan of animal skins, the cleaning of your garments must not depend on whether
you did or did not wear them this winter season.
From cashmere coats to fur wall hangings and everything in between, we deal with only the
finest cleaners in the country to ensure that your pieces are returned in the fall season looking
fabulous and refreshed.
Repairs / Remodels
From loose buttons, hooks and eyes to rips in fur and torn linings, our talented craftspeople, each
with decades of experience in the fur repair trade, will ensure that your garment is returned to
tip-top shape for you to enjoy for many years to come.
We are also experts in the restyling and remodeling of fur garments. From shortening and
shearing to crafting adorable teddy bears or fur lined raincoats, there are always options when it
comes to getting the most enjoyment out of your furs.
Appraisals
Whether for insurance, tax or charitable donation purposes, we can review your pieces in person
and prepare an appraisal which will also be stored on our computer database for your future use.
